Our Mission
In 1929, a group of NC Freemasons had an idea. What if they created a foundation dedicated to funding the two Masonic charities in the state—for generations to come? It was an idea whose time had come.
For over nine decades, a lineage of financially astute brethren has expertly expanded and cultivated the initial fund into a robust foundation presently valued at $100 million. This substantial financial reservoir supports the Masonic Home for Children at Oxford and WhiteStone: A Masonic and Eastern Star Community in Greensboro, contributing significantly to their operational efficacy. Additionally, the North Carolina Masonic Foundation (NCMF) provides crucial financial support to the Charles Edward Cathey Scholarship Fund, the Masonic Historic Preservation Fund, and various scholarship funds sponsored by lodges. In its overarching endeavor, the NCMF diligently advances the broader mission of the fraternity, promoting faith, hope, and charity throughout North Carolina.
